How to reach Cervinia and Grächen by bus or train

Friday 8th September – for supporters of the 3STAGE or ULTRA116 needing to get to the finish line in Grächen
Sunday 10th September – for participants needing to return to their car in Cervinia. Please note this won’t help you if you need to return to Geneva or Milan airports – instead you can use the great public transport system. See sbb.ch/en
Cervinia is in the Aosta Valley, in the north-west of Italy.

The village is accessible from the international airports of Turin Caselle (118 km), Milan Malpensa (169 km), Milan Linate (180 km) and Geneva (CH).
The options by public transport are limited, but possible from direction of Milan. The nearest railway station is at Chatillon/Saint-Vincent (information and timetables at www.trenitalia.it). From Chatillon, and also from Turin and Milan, there is a coach service to and from Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche (information and timetables at www.savda.it).
Grächen is a village above St Niklaus in the Matter Valley in Switzerland. Look here for its location on google maps. Grächen is easily accessible by public transport from Milan, Geneva and Zurich airports. Comprehensive information about how to reach Grächen is available on the website of the Tourist Office: here.
All train and bus connections can be worked out using the wonderful website of the Swiss Railway www.sbb.ch/en.
You can buy a ticket on the shuttle bus from Grächen to Cervinia here. Please note this is only helpful if you need to return to your car in Cervinia. For travel to airports it will be easiest using public transport. www.sbb.ch/en.
