To and from Grächen
Of course travel between Geneva Airport and Grächen is also very easy by train and bus (check sbb.ch/en for connections to Grächen Zentrum)
Chamonix to Grächen – Tuesday 3rd September 09:00 (~2.5 hour journey time)
Grächen to Geneva Airport – Sunday 8th September 08:30 (~3 hour journey time)
DISCONTINUED shuttles
We have previously organised shuttles between Geneva Airport and Grächen pre-race, and Milan and Grächen and pre- and post race. We have discontinued these shuttles due to lack of interest and too few bookings to cover the costs.
In particular travel between Geneva Airport and Grächen is very easy. Simply search the timetable at sbb.ch/en with departure point “Geneva Airport” and destination point “Grächen Zentrum”. Journey time is very similar from Zurich Airport. Trains leave directly from both Geneva and Zurich Airports (magic)! Book your ticket in advance for a better deal!
To and from Milan is also easily possible, if a little more complicated: 1. There are frequent shuttle buses from Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate to Milano Centrale (the main train station). From there check https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html for a connection to Brig (across the border in Switzerland), and then sbb.ch/en for the connection from Brig to “Grächen Zentrum”. 2. Try the shuttle bus from Milan Malpensa to Domodossola (https://www.comazzialibus.com/ComazziAlibus/). Then check sbb.ch/en for the onward connections to “Grächen Zentrum”.
